Our Legacy

Founded in 1998, Imagine One Technology & Management, Ltd. has grown from a small business into a leading employee-owned enterprise supporting U.S. defense agencies with innovative technology, engineering and management solutions.  Over more than 25 years, we’ve built a reputation for trusted performance, technical excellence, and agile-oriented delivery – – providing integrated solutions in areas such as cybersecurity, systems engineering, software development, and program management.

Our corporate origins trace back to Port Royal, Virginia – a town rich in early American history. The chimney featured in our logo pays homage to Dorothy Roy, one of the first female business owners in the American colonies. The design is inspired by the remaining chimneys of her 18th-century home, serving as a visual tribute to her entrepreneurial spirit. This symbol reflects not only our respect for her legacy but also our ongoing commitment to sustaining innovation and resilience – qualities that continue to guide us today.

Who We Are

Established in July 1998, Imagine One Technology & Management, Ltd. is a proudly Employee-Owned company of more than 300 professionals delivering strategically vital capabilities in information technology, cybersecurity, program management, foreign military sales, systems engineering, test and evaluation, training, logistics, and Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR). Our support spans across multiple Department of the Navy organizations, including the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NIWC), Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), and the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), as well as the United States Marine Corps.

I walked to the street to collect my mail last week and found my Imagine One ESOP annual distribution notice.  Since my retirement at age 67+ three years ago, the annual payout from the ESOP has increased year-over- year.  This year’s distribution exceeded my expectations.  My thought when I opened the letter was, “Wow!”

I enjoyed 12 years of work with Imagine One.  When the ESOP was implemented, I admittedly had a hard time grasping all the nuances involving payouts, retirement, and vesting. The easy part was knowing that the longer I worked and the more I contributed to Imagine One’s success, the more likely that there would be a nice annual distribution in my retirement years – but I really didn’t know how much.  At the time of retirement, I was fully vested in the Plan, and since I met the other eligibility rules for distribution, I received my first check a year later.  As I look back on my time as a Senior Manager and Associate VP in the Company, I feel pride in helping build and sustain the contracts that fed corporate profits.  I would regularly tell the employees and prospective employees in the contracts I supported that the ESOP was a benefit given to them free of any downside.  Work hard, grow the company, show value to the customer, and watch your vesting percentage increase with your employee longevity … these were easy to understand parameters.  The important thing for others is to not undervalue the benefit.
